Mountlake Terrace Shifts

Saturday morning mutual aid

Every Saturday from 9am to noon, neighbors gather at our Mountlake Terrace staging space to sort pantry staples, package fresh groceries, and load weekend distribution vans.

Three ways to help

Choose your weekly rhythm

We organize our operations around three distinct needs. Whether you prefer physical warehouse packing, independent driving routes, or quiet one-on-one visits, your time stays local.

Work alongside fellow neighbors assembling family produce kits, dry bean bundles, and seasonal school supply packs inside our central Mountlake Terrace staging hub.

Pick up pre-packed food boxes and complete contactless porch drops across Snohomish County neighborhoods using your own vehicle and our route sheet.

Spend unhurried time with homebound elders across south Snohomish County, sharing tea, conversation, and gentle walking companionship on quiet weekday mornings.

Volunteer perspectives

Grounded in neighborhood care

Three hours of sorting lentils and potatoes on Saturday completely centers my week. You see the immediate result of your physical labor packed into forty family crates.

David M., Saturday packing volunteer

My weekly tea visits with Eleanor are the quietest, most honest part of my routine. We look over her garden and talk through neighborhood changes over hot black tea.

Sarah T., senior companionship volunteer

The delivery routes are planned thoughtfully so you can finish six drop-offs in under an hour. It is practical, respectful care without any bureaucratic delays.
